For 20 years the iconic Printworks has dominated the night out scene in Manchester. DTZi asked Harrison:Fraser to review the performance and positioning of Printworks in 2018, with a new identity and plans for a renewal of the development gaining planning consent in early 2020. Responding to changing consumer values Printworks is shifting its focus away from alcohol and night time activity towards a broader audience with wider and more eclectic tastes. Competitive socialising is being embraced alongside other new tenant signings. Approval has now been granted to install Europe’s largest digital ceiling helping Printworks retain its position as the No. 1 entertainment destination in the city.
